Personal Training - FAQ's

1. What hours do you usually train people?

By appointment only: All day Monday - Saturday. Starting early mornings hours before work and into the evenings hours after work.
Sessions can vary from 30 - 60 minutes depending on client needs and/or goals.

2. What are the trainer fees and is there a separate gym fee?

There is no separate gym fee.
Group classes are paid by the class (drop in fee). Each trainer has their own separate billing rate reflective of client(s) needs and/or goals.

3. What are the areas of excellence in the training you offer?

Years of experience as fitness professionals and collegiate athletes.
A proven track record with client success. (see testimonials)
Knowledge - Nationally recognized certifications as well as, on going continued self education.
Creativity in programing and class design.

4. What are the key reasons your clients would want to train with you?

Sierra Bodyworks is a private training facility. This setting allows for a more focused and specialized workout.
Each new client is given an in-depth assessment. This assessment becomes the foundation for an individualized, well thought out program.
Sports Performance: Gait analysis, Body Mechanics, Power & Speed. All elements are factored into programming and progressions specific to your sport.

5. What are the differences among certifications (credentialing)?

Many fields require that education be completed in the form of a degree as a prerequisite for the professional credential. Certifying measures, in a standardized and unbiased manner, the ability of the trainer to apply the knowledge and skills necessary in the role of a fitness professional. Passing, establishes that the individual is competent to work in the given field or profession.
Sierra Bodyworks takes pride in the fact that we are all certified through nationally recognized organizations.

6. How much continuing education do you need as a Personal Trainer?

Each certifying organization requires different amounts of Continuing Education Credits (CEC's). This keeps fitness professionals current by updating their knowledge base and the learning of new skills. Some course work may be based on a special modality or tool, specialty populations or general topics relating to the fitness profession as a whole.
